Atmospheric medieval black metal project Forlorn Citadel will release its new album An Oath Undone on April 3rd, 2026 via Northern Silence Productions.
Available in digital, vinyl, and CD, this new chapter deepens the project’s signature blend of atmospheric black metal and dungeon synth, rooted in epic fantasy, medieval history, and the legacy of Summoning and Caladan Brood.

Created in solitude by multi‑instrumentalist Solace (Matthew Bell), An Oath Undone explores themes of decay, memory, erosion of purpose, and the slow collapse of ideals. The album inhabits a world of medieval ruin, restraint, and absence — a suspended state where honor survives only as echo and ash.

2026 will also mark a milestone: Forlorn Citadel’s first live performances, with Solace joined by session musicians to bring this evocative universe to the stage.
