South Australian black metal entity Lumen Ad Mortem has confirmed the release of their upcoming full‑length “A Grave Ascent”, arriving in June 2026 through Hypnotic Dirge Records.
Formed in 2019, the band channels the cold fire of anthemic black metal, drawing from primordial landscapes and the vast, indifferent night sky. After the success of their 2023 debut Upon the Edge of Darkness (Bitter Loss Records), Lumen Ad Mortem carried their atmospheric and forceful live rituals across Australia.
In 2025, the band returned to the studio to carve a new chapter, one steeped in chilling melody, oppressive atmosphere and themes rooted in Australia’s own well of loss, death and unbroken resilience. A Grave Ascent promises a descent into a world where time, darkness and the ancient land itself dwarf human existence.
